Well more than 18months after being told by the team that dx-ed DS1 with AS that DS2 needed an urgent referral for an HFA dx, he has finally hit the top of the waiting list. I know that having a dx won't change anything, we have been bringing him up as if he has ASD for the last 4 years or so. I just feel as if I am about to be sick down and panicky, I think, as I have always held a tiny hope that maybe he will be NT and just a late developer, and now is the time that that glimmer could be thrown away.

Consider it held Smile

Feel for you littlemissgreen, It took us ages to get a DX for Dd3 and she desperately needed it but I still felt sick at the thought of hearing those words.

You will get through it and come out the otherside and carry on being a great parent, only difference is your Ds2 will be able to access support when he needs it.

Good luckSmile

Good luck - it is such a stressful time.

Holding your hand ...

Really feel for you.

The advantage being this time round you know the systems. You know what to expect and how to handle it all.

Take care, thinking of you.
