Having trouble finding something that works and DS is awake and in distress some nights now. Rotten timing.

Or more importantly is Alimemazine Tartrate still available in the UK?

Sorry, forgot you guys had switched from the brand to the generic already.

In Ireland we have neither available now but we are going to UK on holiday so if they still do Alimemazine Tartrate it would be a lifesaver.

Thanks so much cansu, thats great news, have found somewhere in UK that does it and will be bringing presciption. As you can see from my time of posting last night the alternatives were not working too well for us. Big relief to have a solution in sight.

i have found it better to use much less than prescribed dose. dd aged 7 only has 0.5ml and ds aged 11 has 0.75ml. if we used the prescribed dose 2.5ml it would leave them dopey and grumpy the next day.

Thats interesting. A lesser dose has seemed to work fairly well for DS when I was trying to reduce it down gradually with a view to weaning him off it). But he keeps having flare ups of sinus problems and then needs the full dose to get to sleep when he's in discomfort.

I have just discovered I can order it online. This is good as I had visions of us having to do trips to the UK on a regular basis just to get some sleep Grin
