Hi, well, we have just recieved dylans major buggy this morning and it is just what was needed as getting far too big for ordenairy pram.

The only problem is that it is bog standard and i want to know where i can get the accessories cheaper.

I want/need, rain cover, canopy and the shopping basket all of which are pretty expensive to buy online.

Can anyone please advise where and how much they got theirs for???

Many thanks,

Butty.xxx

I remember looking at a website, will go and hunt now!!

anniebear · 06/03/2006 14:34

www.babysroom.co.uk/

I found the bits and pieces were reasonable on here, cheaper than buying them from Maclaren

E bay also has raincovers for £19.99 and you don't need the sun canopy to use it (Maclaren one you have to use the sun canopy to be able to use the raincover, not soft are they?!)

And I think some on here have bought the large raincover from Argos and that fits

and a frined of mine bought a blue canopy from Mothercare and that fitted

maybe worth a try

sparklymieow may have a raincover, but no canopy. i can CAT you to pass on details if you want. she says a fiver plus postage.

Pixel · 06/03/2006 14:48

I got most of my stuff from babysroom too. The shopping basket is particularly useful!

butty · 06/03/2006 15:09

thanks,

i will have a look at the sight in a mo!!!

The reason i want to get canopy is coz we go out a lot in the summer, so would be to dylans advantage.

Misdee, is it the major buggy raincover???

Please could you let me know.

many thanks,

I bought a canopy but it has hardly been used. It doesn't fold up and takes up loads of room in the car. Also I'm short and it makes me feel like I'm pushing a tank instead of a buggy! Tbh I've found that a propped-up unbrella does just as well to keep the sun off and you can keep it underneath for when you need it. (Or you can buy my sun canopy if you like Smile).

Pixel · 06/03/2006 15:15

umbrella!

butty · 06/03/2006 15:48

hi Pixel,

is it the canopy that goes with the major buggy and if so, how much are you prepared to part with it for???? Grin

I am a bit of a short arse myself, so i can see me having some fun with this buggy or tank, however one prefers to call it!!!!Grin

hi butty, yes its for the major, i brought it along with the canopy but the canopy got broken. Dd1 hardly uses her buggy now, so am willing to sell it now. I have been trying to sell the raincover for ages, on here and another SN group I'm on, but noone wanted it.

butty · 06/03/2006 16:21

Hi Sparklymieow,

that would be really appreciated as having a bit of tough time with money and work at the mo.

If you email me your address and a guestimate for the postage, i will arrange to get a postal order sent 1st class tomorrow or a cheque if you prefer.

My email is below, as changing current service provider for BB.

Much thanks again.

cheque is fine, I guess it will be about 1.50 is that ok???

sparklymieow · 06/03/2006 16:30

also might be getting dd1 a wheelchair soon, so do you want the basket when I have finished with it??

butty · 06/03/2006 16:36

That would be absolutely brill!!!!

So if we call it £2.00 for postage, just to be on the safe side, you know what royal mail are like!!!!

How much do you want for the raincover???

If you email me at [email protected], i'll check it when get home from work to get your details of who to pay and where to send it to.

Once again, thanks very much.

Yes it is the Maclaren blue stripy one. The last time I saw it, it was in the garage still in its original bag (I kept it in the bag so it wouldn't get dirty in the car)so should be in brand-new condition. I will make doubly sure it is ok tomorrow as the garage is down the road and there is no light. All being well, they are selling for £19.99 at 'babysroom' so how about 1/2 price plus postage? Does that sound ok? I will have to find out how much it will cost to send, unless you live near Brighton by any chance? I have actually got the raincover as well, never even been unfolded but I see you are getting one of those.

Btw, it took me a while to figure out that you can actually clip the sunshade on so that it hangs down the back of the buggy when you aren't using it. You can have the helpful tip for free Wink.

butty · 08/03/2006 09:50

Cheers pixel,

That would be great, if you email me your address details, and how to pay, i will sort it out tomorrow, as thats when sorting raincover out.

may as well do it at the same time.

My email is: [email protected].

Thanks ever so much
