Hi as the title says I'm looking for the mumsnetter who makes school trousers for SEN children.
A lady who I'm friends with through a local SEN groups urgently needs some grey school trousers in 18-24 months for her 4 year old who is starting school in Sep/ They will need to be fully elasticated in 18-24 months. She has looked everywhere online and locally to no avail.
I remembered a post a while back from a Mumsnetter who made trousers especially for such cases. We would be so grateful if anyone can help.

Many thanks in advance

p.s he has several allergies, many life threatening due to an extremely rare disorder so they can't contain lots of synthetics such as latex. He also has aspergers so thats why they need to be fully elasticated.

I think it might be PurplePidjin.

I know she sews and knits a lot of SN related items and has made stuff for other MNSNers. Might be worth a pm?

It is purplepidgin or something similar.

She was definitely making them a while ago, maybe you could put a call out for her.

Good luckSmile

It's me. I'm completely snowed under at the moment (major decorating needed before i get too big to fit at the sewing machine, currently 21 weeks) but have approached a crafty friend to see if she'll take it on, and have another i can try if the first can't.

Or try local dressmakers - drycleaners usually know people, or wedding shops.

Sorry Sad

Anyone with basic sewing knowledge can make these, just use grey jersey or drill cotton. If you use cotton with no stretch, make them wider at the top so they go on easier Wink

You have PM :)

I know its not much help but Next do girls pull on stretchy trousers in grey, They say boot cut but they are pretty straight especially if turned up.

They have a tiny charm at the front that could easily be cut off and they are 94% cotton so feel similar to joggers.

Dd3 has had them for years they are really good and start at age 3 which might be worth a look at.

Just a thoughtSmile
