my ds 3.7m diagnosed with nothing but on forms is 12months behind in speech, language, communication, play skills and social skills plus behavioural problems, immature speech with disorder more immature than disorder now.
he is making real progress, so proud of the little guy, his speech is getting clearer and can talk in sentences, he is now sitting along side children still prefers himself but hes slightly interacting with children, he is very very good at sharing passes things to others and says sharing, this week he picked a figure up and walked it (never done that before) can hold a small conversation about sea creatures (his passion) his behaviour as improved slightly, not had day long tantrums this week, he is good as gold at nursery which im really glad but its making me feel bad
we are hitting small regressions and little struggles still, he is still very routine based, tv programmes have to finish including music before we can leave the house, if we walk with certain people he expects certain things to happen, if we walk on certain streets hes the same, can't walk different routes, constantly asking what happens next, where we going, where are we, ect....
he could count at one point, he cannot count without help now, rarely counts beyond 3. he as started leading me by the hand again for stuff, and just coming up to me saying "mimi" like a very young todler would, hes still asking for drinks by saying "dink, dink" but his language is beyond this now. still trouble with head butts, slaps and pinching.
nursery have no concerns at all, i think im going mad, everyone who knows and sees him at home have noticed somethings not 100% i feel over whelmed though at times, only people who want to help are the health visitors but they've exhausted everything, he should be seeing a more specialist paed soon for autism but i dunno if he fits the bill
