private diagnosis? Anyone?

Has anyone gone private for a ados test or gone and seen a private physcoloigst for asd? me and ds 7 have been going round in circles for 5 years and were told today its a 12 month waiting list for a ados test. Any advice really needed thank you x

We went to Psychologist, paid a lot of dosh, because it wasn't the ADOS dx wasn't accepted although nobody disputed that he has ASD.

For us it was a waste of time and money, if your going to go private see someone who can do the ADOS.

ds finally had the ADOS at CAMHS and was dx.

The dr i have found works for Camhs and does the ADOS test and full developmental history and is a lot of money (taken out a loan) cannot keep waiting for camhs and their bloody lists!
