Tummy bugs and carers

Hi all.

A question: if you have a carer for your DCs through Direct Payments or otherwise, do you tell them not to come in if one of your children has a tummy bug?

I have a carer that works 10 hours a week but I told her not to come in last week for one day as one of my DCs had a tummy bug (she works with other families and the vulnerable elderly in care homes so I didn't want to expose her to it).

One week later my DD has contracted the bug, so I've given the carer time off again.

Is this right?

On the one hand I am exhausted and could do with the help. On the other hand I don't want her to get the bug. What do you do?

What you did. You don't want to expose her other clients to the bug.
