we want special school - had emergency review which school stated they cannot meet his needs, evidence that he cannot cope with school via the paed and he is in school mornings only, private OT report which details his huge issues and recommends special school, academically he is falling, his behaviour is detoriating and the lea today say just because hes not coping in this mainstream school doesnt mean he cannot cope in another mainstream school!!!!!!!!!!!!! they also suggested that maybe he is educated in a library away from everyone else
despite the fact he is year 3 and now in his 4th school - they want to get a their own NHS OT report for a 'balanced' view which they have to pay for. 6 weeks since emergency review - statementing officer says statement has to be finalised by 8 weeks so told her to finalise. so looks like im heading to tribunal so need a good ed psych to say why mainstream is not the right enviroment. we live in the centre of the country - near leicester so would be grateful if people could give me some recommendations and also how much it is likely to cost
