Up at the Houses of Parliament this afternoon with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Autism, the MPs and Peers, launching our report. The link is above. Plenty of excellent suggestions for how we can change the SEN systems and extend support up to age 25.

Thanks, Amber, let us know how it goes. I was all set to go until I realised the Olympic Torch Relay was in town and I couldn't possibly miss it as my ds would never have forgiven me!

I really hope those proposals get put into practice amberlight. Am going to read the full report now - thanks for the link.

Yes - what can we do to get some traction on this - write to our MP? - I hope the papers /media pick up on this ...

forgot to say I wholeheartedly agree with the summary of the report on your "news" page.

"You can get involved with APPGA by contacting your MP and asking them to join the group if they have not already done so. We have prepared a draft letter that you can download, complete with your details and send to your MP " www.appga.org.uk/about-us/get-involved.aspx
I'm writing to mine - and adding a bit about your report -and let me know what he plans to do about it. I'll let you know if I get anything resembling a sensible response.
