8 wks on still waitong for dla renewal anyone else?!

Just rang them no update! Mine has never taken this long before so I'm now worried dds will be declined! She was awarded it first time last year, I asked if they were going to request any further info from ke as we going on hol next week AMD she said no but they could do at a later date!!! I said surely I should hear back within next 3 weeks if you're processing them within 11 weeks!!! Reckon it will be a decline and the battle will commence again!!

You're not going to like me, but ds's renewal came back within 3.5 weeks, I was very but very pleased too. I find the whole process so stressful.
Maybe they're waiting for evidence from school or doctors to come back. I think ours was so quick because they took the information required off ds's medical report that I sent in. That's what they wrote anyway.
I really hope it comes through soon for you.

Our initial application last year came back in 3 weeks and got high rate care. I sent off loads of reports again this time but they've said they haven't requested any additional info from docs or anything. Not got good feeling...

I hope it's good news when it does arrive. I did get a letter saying they'd received it and it would take 6-8 weeks to come back to me, so was surprised to get it back a week later.

Our letter said 6-8 weeks lady on phone says 11 weeks! We go away next week for a fortnight and are due back when dla ends so will no doubt come home to a brown envelope! Just hope they don't ring me when I'm away!

ten weeks so far. Lady on the 'phone says possibly 12.

if it helps our 4th renewal at the beginning of this year was sent in for February and the award ran out the end of April, we heard in May. DS has always been HRC form 3months and HRM from 3y, we kept our motability car while the award was still being looked at and then he was awarded the same rates.

Submitted 6 Jun. Returned to me 12 Jun over a signing error They clearly don't understand who should sign so I just signed everything and returned it to them on 19 Jun.

Put in application for DS two months ago. So far have had two letters apologising for fact they haven't finalised a decision yet. Maybe if they employed more people who could actually MAKE a decision and fewer people who are only qualified to send letters of apology, we might get somewhere.
