My ds(4) with ?asd / hearing loss / speech delay who's a bolter has his first hour at his new school tomorrow. I'm working so DP is taking him. Am worrying whether the school will put all they've agreed into practice, keep him safe and ensure he has a lovely first experience of it with other kids in the building? Gulp. Gulp. And breathe. But I know you'll all know how I'm feeling.

ooo good luck.

we had ours last week. ds behaved well. no tantrums, no biting, no screaming, no undressing himself. sucess! I hope your visit is equally sucessful. sounds like they are trying to do things the best way possible.

he saved that behaviour for the party toady

Is your ds my ds?!! If I can say there was no biting, screaming, running off and undressing by 11.45 this morning I'll be a very happy woman Wink

Phew - all went fine - he had a lovely time and drew a picture. Of course he can't tell us what actually happened but he didn't do anything terrible and we got him back in one piece Grin

Thank you for the messages - you lot are brill - I lurk mostly but it's nice to know there are some other parents going through similar cos they're invisible in RL round here.

Well, til the next milestone...
