Had Parents evening at Graces school tonight (Ellie goes for a day a week with a helper)

She said that if I could be a fly on the wall.............. I wouldn't believe it!! She said Ellie is so good! [grin} She sits on the mat with all the others, sits through assembly etc

That was my biggest worry, that she couldn't sit

she said that if they have to sit for a long time she will get fidgety but that they all do

She is able to let them know what she wants to do and sits and does her letter sounds and numbers with her LSA.

Best of all she said that the day Ellie is in is no different to any other day. Meaning Ellie makes no difference, doesn't cause any disruption and the children like her lots

Grin Grin Grin

Grace is doing really well also!

Great news Annie, you must be so proud of both of your girls :):):)

Sounds as though Ellie is coming on in leaps and bounds. Have they suggested that she comes in for any more days, if that's an option?

Thanks

BH, I don't know. I know she needs to be a SN School, but I still don't realy understand why they don't start looking at letters with her until she is in year one, so I do like her being at mainsstream and wouldn't mind another day

At Mainstream she is doing this which is really good. Even if she probably hasn't a clue what they are on about!!!

I know I wouldn't get another day at mainstream as the SN School has to pay for the helper to go with her

we see Ellie's Paed at the end of the month who is great, so will talk it through with her.

Ellie has got full time places at the two schools, so I don't see why the two can't go halves on paying for the helper and evntually do 2 and a half days at each (the schools both going halves on the days she shes at mainstream for the LSA)

In the end both would only pay for the LSA 1 and 3 quarter days each!

Does that make any sense at all??!!! lol

sounds so easy eh? going halves!!! lol

Smile you must be so pleased.

You must be really pleased - reassured too that she has settled so well. It's certainly worth raising the idea of shared provision if you think it's appropriate for Ellie. It could be something to work towards in the future. Are the schools close in location?

about 15/20 mins drive away

I thought at some point she could go to one Mon, tue full day and wed Morning, then I would pick her up and she would go to the other one for the rest of the week?????

does that sound silly, or do you think that could happen

as usual it will come down to money
