Hi all dd is 35 months she had her second schedule of growing skills today and the results were pretty much the sane as the one she had at 2 yrs except her speech has improved and her locomotive declined. Pead was meant to be referring us for ados but has been dragging his heels and he's now requested another one of these which we had today. So her results were
she scored age 30 months for locomotive, 36 months manipulative, 48 months for visual, 48 months for hearing, 34 months for speech, 24 months interactive and social, 18 months self care and social, 30 months cognitive

I'm very happy she was above in some areas but a bit :( she's so low in other areas . Not sure what to do next really except for wait for next pead app. Been given no advice on how to improve on areas and no longer get portage

Spiky profile? I would still push for ADOS. Being ahead in some areas is obviously a very good thing and being a bright child will help her to more easily learn those skills that may not come naturally. Smile

Thanks for replying Ellen, yes had considered some sort of intervention for her. She was dx with speech delay at 24 months then at 2.7 she suddenly began talking in lengthy sentences it was very odd! Although her speech now isn't problematic in itself she won't talk to other people and will be completely silent for hours sometimes around other people its a bit strange.
I've just noticed her self care/social score hasn't improved at all since her last assessment when she was 24 months old!

The visual bit is very accurate she's a whizz with anything computer based and visual
