I purchased the nursery rhyme DVD in the hope that it would be useful tool and oh my has it been.

I just wish there were more by this presenter. When my DD is having a meltdown i just put this DVD on and she calms down! I think if anything ever happened to it I would cry.

Just wondering if anyone else has been using this DVD??

Poor old Dave didnt get the recognition he deserves. Then Justin came and took all the glory.

he lives locally to me and does a lot of work for special needs kids in the area - he has set up a drama school for them. i met him last year as he opened a new part of the local special school so gave us a performance - sadly my 8 year old year with sensory issues didnt appreciate his performance and sat and screamed!! he was a lovely guy and seemed very genuine

Dave and Justin both used to work on Fun Song Factory. If your DD like him, may be worth a look in the archives! We used to have them on VHS back in the day. TBH, Fun Song Factory was more action songs than signing, but my DS2 loved it. If you do find any DVDs, make sure they feature Dave Benson Phillips as he's not on all of them.

Justin used to be quite skinny...

Aw just read on wiki that he was subject of an Internet hoax saying he was dead and basically ended his career poor guy!

Ponders what Justin was doing around 2009 (waits to be deleted for inflammatory post)

dd1 has never really taken to Dave Benson Phillips (she's a Justin girl Grin)

but another set of DVDs she really likes are the Singing Hands ones. I have heard those more times than I care to remember Confused, but in all seriousness they are fab, and the ladies are lovely (we took dd1 to one of their classes as a reward for toilet training - she was enchanted to see them in the actual flesh, and had an absolute ball. and the ladies were lovely and didn't mind a bit that dd1 was on average about 4 years older than any other toddler there Blush Grin)

bjkmummy we must live near each other, as Dave is my local too :) The children love him, as did their teacher when he came to the jubilee picnic :)
