Everyone in the Maclary household has a challenging day today apart from me

I'm just worrying about them all...

DH has an all day job interview for a job that would be excellent for him, a real challenge and a stretch, just what he needs. I really hope it goes well for him even if it would mean two nights away from home a week.he's worked really hard all weekend preparing.

DS1 is going to his new Junior school today, he is at the attached infant school but the classes are being mixed up, they find out just before they go over at 9.30am who is in their class. I got a warning this morning that he has been separated from his best friend, in the long term I think that may be a good idea but in the short term DS is going to be devastated.:( I really hope he copes with this and the whole day in the new environment.

DS2 also goes to see his new class and teacher today, they have all been mixed up too and while I think he'll be fine he is going to be separated from some of his friends.

At the moment there's nothing I can do to help any of them but I think I'm going to distract myself by making muffins for after school. Hopefully they will help with the tears and exhaustion of everyone!

How did DH's interview go? My DH worked away Mon-Fri for 18 months and it's surprising how used to it you get. He's off for just 1 night this week and I don't bat an eyelid now.

So is your DS1 going to the juniors then, the last time I spoke to you you were going elsewhere!! Will both your DS's stay at EW? I'll be very happy if you do Grin

DD1 LOVED juniors today and was raving about it, asked me how many days until September. She hasn't got her best mate but hasn't even mentioned that.

DD2 went to Yr1 and loved that too, she was a happy girl. How did your DS2 get on in yr1?

Thanks both! Dh thinks interview went well, we'll wait and see! He's abroad or away often, it probably averages out at one night a week at the moment so we're used to it but it will be a big jump up in responsibility and time away from home. I hope he gets it though.

Mumgoingcrazy - Both boys loved thier new classes thank you. Ds2 and your Dd2 will be together! Sudden change of plans 10 days ago and we decided to stay put. All worked out with the lea on Monday of this week so just I time for yesterday. I'm very pleased we are staying!

Muffins all gone now!

I've pm'd you

I'm really pleased DD2 is in the same class as your DS2. Maybe DD1 will be in the same class as your DS1!! Great to have a friendly face in her mainstream class.
