Feeling sorry for myself!

Gradually losing all my so called friends and finding it hard today. Just feeling quite isolated.

Ds(4) is quite innocent in the way he plays and sick of my friend blaming their nt dcs bad behaviour on this. Unfortunately I believe I may have been too open when discussing ds and his assessments etc. My friends ds is actually a bully and in my opinion she actually attempts to justify it because of my ds being slightly different!

Is my ds doomed to be bullied forever because of who he is? And will parents always blame their nt dc's behaviour on my dc and his sen?

What a sad situation, just out of interest do you have a local support group you could go to.

Try asking at your children's centre [unless you are in scotland].

Sadly some parents will never be very helpful when it comes to SN's, but do you know what if they are not going to support you and your DS they are not really your friends.

I would defintely not be poing out with or visiting someone who's child bullies my child.

Your DS is not doomed to be bullied but you need to be his advocate, stand up for him and find the right environment for him where he can thrive.

Good luck and keep coming on here for supportSmile

Sorry to hear that people are treating you and your DS like this. A DC punched and kicked mine and when I complained the mum said it was my DS's fault. I try to focus on those people who are supportive and understanding and steer my Ds to play with people who are good for him. It's working ok at the moment but I know it can be saddening and frustrating. I feel that if he has at least 1 friend to play with at school or on play dates he will be happy. All the best to you in finding some support.
