ds1 (7) has gone food crazy and keeps raiding the fridge and cupboard. He has managed to break off all the plastic locks we had. I need strong locks for double cupboards, drawers and a fridge but they have to be non screw( rented prorty). Any recommendations?

Would you be allowed to put one strong lock on the kitchen door to keep him out.

Sorry if you have thought of that. I just thought that maybe one would be better than several if your landlord is going to be upset.

Push-fit stairgate any good? Probably not. My 3yr old has recently started this, I'm going to look for a big lockable tub for hiding the most desirable non-fridgey bits.
Good luck.

DS2 can't be in the kitchen unsupervised, so we now have a stable type door that locks. I just couldn't deal with locking up each thing.

Does the property come with a garage or shed? that you could put the main fridge/freezer and veg etc in and just have a mini one for the house to store milk etc in?

Nope no garage or shed.

The LAndlord is really nice and has put a lock on the bathroom and kitchen but the kitchen is in the middle of the flat whch means that you have to go through to get to kitchen or bathroom so if I need to go to toilet/ go to bedroom for anyreason he is free to explore the kitchen.

He is to big and abke for a stairgate.
