Grouping trucks

Hi, My 7 year old son has ASD. My nephiew is 16 months and I've noticed that he's starting grouping his cars/trucks. He moves them around in groups. Is this normal? Obviously as my son had ASD I didn't get typical play but is this something that I should leave but just see how he gets on as he's so young. I don't want to worry my sister but at the same time, think they should be aware of the red points to keep an eye on. He's doing brilliantly compared to my two children at that age. Thanks for help

I think I would want to see more than this one thing before I was worried, but if it is something that is sticking in your mind, maybe you could look out for some other warning signs and if there is a pattern there, mention it?

You could always talk to your sister about the development of your own son and tell her about the red flags you saw, so she at least has them in her mind, and might see more of them in her own child if they are there to see?

DS3 went through a stage of this, and he's NT. Unless there are other things that stand out drastically, I wouldn't mention it.
