SEn statement provision funding linked to post statement planning meetings

I have found a letter on my child's file stating that funding for provision is not released until pspm has taken place. I knew this was my LA's policy but did not expect to find this committed to paper.

Does anyone else have examples of where this is the case? If so has anyone challenged it?

i dont know but I always take the stance that funding is not my problem.
the statement covering letter should give a timescale by which the provision/statement must be implimented by the school.
As far as i know that is the timescale the school must work to.

The school must comply with the statement funding, thats what the head gets paid to sort :)

Well then they'd better get a move on with the planning meeting then eh!?

No excuse for breaking the law. You coukd always ask in writing for the date and confirmation they will be adhering to the law wrt timescales regardless.
