How long have you waited for results from GOSH?

Have been waiting nearly 3 months for results from nerve conduction studies, MRI and lumbal punction. Do not have a follow up appointment (said it will arrive in a post) and when tried to call the neurologist's secretary, it's always on voicemail (and nobody calls back). Should I just leave it and wait more?

Keep calling, just to make sure they haven't forgotten you. Some results can take time though.

keep calling, if you get nowhere try PALS next. It may be the results aren't all in but they should return your calls.

definitely keep calling! call every day if you have too, 3 months is a long time, make your name be etched on their memory. my son is treated under GOSH, dont feel a pain keep ringing, just point out you are concerned and the wait is upsetting you. xxx

...........we've been waiting since the begining of March for a MDM - I keep calling, but nothing - don't hold your breath!!

babiki · 01/07/2012 12:27

What is MDM? Feels appropriate to say Oh gosh :) just hope they haven't forgotten us

Multi Disiplinary Meeting - a 'get together' of all his consultants and clinicians to put together a management program for all his complex conditions - but in the meantime I'm just muddling along as we have no help from anyone locally as he is 'too complex' - its driving me mad!!

babiki · 02/07/2012 14:00

Oh I see, I was told to get results first and then do mdm. Yes, complex needs, how many times have I heard... Also many pockets of concern - hate that phrase. Well good luck with the waiting!
