Some of you may remember a while back my daughter who was 6 was put forward for the statement process but the panel said they didnt have correct information from the school so the answer at the time was no. Anyway the school resubmitted everything and it went to panel on wednesday. I received a letter today to say it is going to the next stage and they are going to statutory assess her to see if she needs a statement or not.

Obviously I would be happy if we didnt need to go down this route but am just so pleased that we are finally getting somewhere. Just need to keep fingers crossed now as it will be 10 weeks before a decsion is made.

Can we hold hands? Got first GP app re ADHD? this week!!

coff33pot · 30/06/2012 21:38

Of course it feels different going down this route but in going down it your DD will get that extra boost up that ladder and you never know she may overtake the rest of her peers at the starting post :)

Foxy800 · 30/06/2012 22:00

That is what I am hoping for, dd loves school but is struggling and I just dont want her to lose all the love she has for school and like you say by getting the help now fingers crossed she will overcome any problems before adulthood or learnt ways to deal with them.

MammaTJ of course we can hold hands. My fingers are crossed for you.

And thank you to every one for the replies.
