Has anyone had one of these at almost 3yrs old? Dd had one at exactly 2yrs just wondering what she will be required to do at almost 3. It's an afternoon appointment and she will have had a settling in app at preschool in the morn so will be shattered and grumpy with no nap so I'm expecting it to be quite disastrous.

What are the milestones for an almost 3 yr old anyway?! I pay no attention!
It seems like its peads way of stringing things out a bit longer!

we did, just before DD turned 3. I can't remember very well anymore but she had to draw a person (or something like that). build a tower, do something on a peg board (fine motor skills). not sure if she had to stand on a leg. they tried t do some s&l related things but DD is very badly delayed there. they asked also questions about playing with other children etc and re toiletting.

DD 'passed' the SOGS, I was diagnosed with 'paranoid mum syndrome' and DD was diagnosed with classic autism 9 months later Hmm.

good luck

I am working with a little chap ATM, he has just had one of these . The HV suggested that his development is very slightly below average based on the test.

Every other proff working with him has assessed him as roughly 18months delayedShock.

When Dd3 was tested none of her issues were picked up and she has ASD too.

it is v broad brush, a quick whizz round the main areas of development - language/cognitive/self-care/motor etc. Having said that, the one the HV did did tally with the paed's assessment of my lad (as OK in all areas but language/social).

Thanks guys - she could never draw a person!!! At 24 months on the sogs she was scored as delayed on speech, self care AMD social skills. Not sure what this one will bring!! Depends how dd reacts once we are there
