If you just watched, did you think that Dr spoke to them like they were crap on her shoe?

Am I being OTT?

The Mother and Son was happy, must have been upset about what the Mother was saying instead.

I do think she seemed rather awkward when talking to them,as though she wasn't entirely comfortable with talking to Kevin, but I don't think she talked to him like that.

SoleSource · 27/06/2012 22:01

Yes, awkward :( wonder why?

It may be her natural manner. Some doctors aren't very good at small talk, and haven't got the best bedside manner. I'd have to see her with other patients to judge.

SoleSource · 27/06/2012 22:05

Yes, I will recall your advice if my Son is in hosital at any time.

Thank you :)

I thought she engaged very well with Keven... the right mx of professionalism and compassion.

She even managed to try share a joke with him to make him feel at ease, which I feel he did, as did his mum, who spirit I hope to have at her age.

WithACherryOnTop · 27/06/2012 22:11

I do think she was trying to be nice.Perhaps conversation just doesn't come naturally to her.

Kevin and his mother were lovely weren't they?

SoleSource · 27/06/2012 22:19

babos exactly what i said aloud at the sacreen in tears.
I can't bear to be apart from my son for that long even though he loves being with his friends overnight occasionally at his respite centre :) i miss him

Cherry they were lovely, i want to write her a letter

i just felt very protective for a while.

I think she spoke to them very nicely and the mother was happy with the way she related to him and with the fact that he really warmed to her and overcame his shyness with her.
