LGO and blardy solicitor

Blardy, blardy solicitor. Partner - leading firm.

She has been dealing with my LGO case which I have bored you with before. She got the help of a charity to write in support too.

I assumed then she wouldn't charge - silly me. That was another £700 added to the bill.

After the 3rd provisional view, I instructed her just to take over the final response.

That was 3 weeks ago.

The deadline is Friday.

I chased yesterday and got a response saying she is too busy. She won't be able to respond in time and there is no one else that can do it. And even if I ask for more time, they are all too busy.

I feel gutted. I was prepared to throw one last sum of money at this just to get someone else to do it for me as it is so stressful after all this time.

I raised specific questions of the LGO and they have responded but I sent it to my solicitor as I knew it would make me too mad/stressed/depressed.

Now it is coming right back at me.

Sorry - I just can't believe I've got to pick up the reins for this at such short notice.

Does anyone feels strong and sane enough to read through some doubtless batty LGO responses to some questions!!!

Out of interest AE could I look at your submissions too please? email addy in the pm about Swansea case transcript. Thank you

WetAugust · 30/06/2012 11:51

AE - thank you for the digest of the Swansea PRU case.

Starfish - you have a useful Circular there that you can quote to support your view that a PRU should not be used for children with longtern special needs.

Fantastic - found the original idiot investigator who was so rigorous she issued a provisional view saying no maladministration without even bothering to check whether all the provision was in place.

She is posted on a newsletter confirming her new jobs saying:

"It?s no good having systems in place if there are no means of ensuring the systems are used, and no sanctions for failing in duties. More positively, my role will be about ensuring that the legitimacy and authority on which the institution of local government is based are firmly in place."

What a joke!

I decided to give up on my complaint and reclaim my life - not without bitterness though.

AE - did you input into the All Parliamentary thingy about the LGO? Also out of interest, may I look at your submission too?

appropriatelyemployed · 30/06/2012 12:14

Yes - it is actually on the select committee website. See here

Approppiate, I do not know your name but I figured out who you were!

Fantastic stuff, if only I were that articulate I would wipe the floor with my incompetent LEA so they wouldnt not even try and screw things up for it to get to LGO..lol

sickofincompetenceandbullshit · 30/06/2012 14:25

AE, it was such an unusual name and it was Google's first result. I have done no digging; I haven't needed to as entire life is on there!

hoxtonbabe · 30/06/2012 14:45

I wish I could find things out about my two idiots..sadly they have rather common names and can only find minor references to them :-(

WetAugust · 30/06/2012 15:15

AE I read your submission. It was the best evidenced and argued of the lot.

When will the Commission publish its findings?

appropriatelyemployed · 30/06/2012 16:25

Not sure when final report is published. Parliament shuts down in 3 weeks so if not by then it will be October.
