DS is 7 yrs old. Asperger's, very bright, possibly PDA. Extremely wilful and challenging. ???

Imho ABA can be suitable for anyone. At it's core is the principle that you can teach skills in behaviour, language, communication, play, etc etc, through analysis of behaviour and a system of reinforcement. That basic principle can apply to teaching anything to anyone.

What you have to look at is finding a practitioner (ie supervisor/consultant) who can be creative about tailoring programmes to suit your ds. And finding experienced tutors. And working around or within school (and if you're doing it outside school, making sure school are on board with using the same strategies as you).

But I see no reason why it would not be appropriate for him. Go for it!

I agree with bialy - in fact I have tried this in a very minimal way with my 9 year old Aspie and it was very successful in motivating him to work in the classroom where nothign else worked.
