Training on Clicker (I think this might be a Moodog question) :)

Just received the minutes from the very positive meet I had with Junior School & Co from the LA.

In it mentions Staff to have training on Clicker......

If I am remembering right, would this be the same as the TagTeach that I seem to think it was moondog that put a post up quite a while ago?

If so is it good? would it help a AS/ADHD child of 7 who is able to verbally refuse or avoid what he deems to be a challenge?

Can this be used within the home setting or would it be for something like PE only.

Any advice/comments would be appreciated.

If he doesn't like writing then clicker is a good choice by school.

I think they can set it up so all he has to do is drag and drop words to make a sentence and the words can have pictures above them and they can use boxes to show how many wods he has to use etc.

Or he can type the words rather than dragging them.

I don't think DD will be using it again - after I pointed out her writing was better than the work she was producing on clicker (because although she doesn't mind writing - she hates typing) :)

Thanks Indigo :)

LA emailed me back saying it was Clicker 6 and also said I could contact the school and join in the training which is good as we could work out to follow a similar pattern between home and school. Just got to make sure its 6 as this is an updated version instead of 5.

I saw on the link you can also use pictures with the words which is good as DS "pictures" his words iyswim.

I currently work for Crick Software (the makers of Clicker 6) so can also answer any questions you may have!

Feel free to ignore this if you don't want to reveal your RL identity babyheaves but I've been there since 2007, might our paths have crossed?

Our paths may have crossed, but I left quite early in 2007 so it depends when. I'm curious as to who is still there as I know there were a load made redundant that year, but an increase in sales staff.

I may well know who you are as we make share FB friends and I think SR & JG may have mentioned you when they came to visit.

Is AC still an evil caaaaah?

We've always got on well babyheaves!

coff33pot Clicker 6 is currently only for Windows or Mac, not for iPad. If you send me a message with your email address I'd happily send a bit more information your way?
