Annual review was in March, annual review was sent in April, beginning of June hadn't heard anything so phoned them, for them to say they haven't received dd's annual review. they finally got it last week, been told the decision will take up to 6 weeks, how convenient as that will be beginning of the summer holidays. the school and i have asked for an increase from 15 - 25 hour. How long should it take? Also she got her statement last January but it wasn't finalised until March of last year. As they are supposed to be reviewed every year, does the 12 months start from when they make the decision or when it's finalised? The school have put that she needs 1-1 with either her ta/ct/hlta to further improve concentration and attention in order to enchance her independence. Where in the sen code does it give the code so that can go in my letter of complaint, so that i can quote that in my letter, so when we get her annual review HOPEFULLY it will be quantified. Angry

Not sure, iwantto, but the 12 months starts from when it was finalised. This seems like a lot of needless timewasting to avoid having to stump up for extra hours. Bumping for you.

Thankyou ellenjaneisnotmyname, i looked on some old posts that some others had done, is 8;37 still in effect in the code of practice. The next upheaval is finalising the secondary school transfer, we have put 2 special schools as 1st and 2nd choice so far, i still have to put down a 3rd choice which i have been told needs to be a ms of our choice or they will choose one to send her statement to.
