Hi Hazeyjane. Calpol doesn't agree with it. How is your munchkin? Smile

I take domperidone and have had no side effects (unless i take too much), apparently its easy to overdose on (even more so with children).

Aaah, that is interesting, and good to know, thankyou Sallybear.

Fortunately (I think!) he usually has suppositories, because he is not great with swallowing calpol.

Ds is doing fantastically, he hasn't had a chest infection for months, and he is like a different boy.He has taken a couple of tottering steps on his own, to much applause from everyone (mostly him tbh!)

He has an eeg next week, to see whether he is having seizures ( which up until now we have thought was him choking on saliva).

How are your gang of munchkins?! (or are they too grown up to be munchkins now?!)

Thankyou,

The daft thing is i have taken it twice myself, once for sickness, when I was having chemotherapy and once to increase my supply when trying to feed dd1, it bought me out in an awful rash!

I just wanted to be aware of things like sleepiness (ds is a sleepy thing at the best of times) or extra digestive issues (I'm kind of hoping it will help speed up ds's pooing!)

the boy was put on it in an attempt to stop him puking all the time- it didn't work, but it made him incredibly thirsty

Melandru · 19/06/2012 22:41

my boy suffered from stomach cramp after being on it for many months
It also changed his toilet habits :/

SallyBear · 20/06/2012 09:55

It certainly sped up DD's poo. Poor thing had dreadful runs! But then she was on a liquid diet until she was 5.
Munchkins are all fine. Thinking of what I'm going to do when the schools break up. Four weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hazeyjane · 20/06/2012 10:13

Well I don't know if it is the domperidone, or just his appalling diet, but I have certainly noticed an increase in wind!

If we can get a balance between 3 days of straining and the runs, I (and ds) will be very happy.

I know the Summer holidays are looming somewhat, and in my usual laissez faire way....I have no plans whatsoever.....
