Private autism diagnosis?

Anywhere know of a good place for a private autism diagnosis? We used to have a paed near by who worked for NHS and privately, but he has retired now. Just want someone good to refer parents and children to when they are told they may have a long wait on the NHS to get a diagnosis.

There is Daphe Keen but her waiting times seem to be quite long judging by the threads on here. We were fortunate in that it only took us two weeks as she had a cancellation, so maybe worth a try.

GOSH have a team but only for second opinion service.

Professor Richardson who runs the GOSH clinic also works through the London Family and Child Practice (exact name?). We had a multi-disciplinary assessment through them and would recommend. Good luck, OP! (PM me if you can't find them on google, I can look them up for you.)

Oops, I'm partly talking rubbish! GOSH do see people privately for first time assessment (that's how we got assessed, d'oh!) but cheap it aint - hope you have private healthcare cover, or a few grand under the mattress. In practice many sessions were held at the London Child and Family Practice (which was fine). Phone private patients at GOSH and your GP will be able to refer. There's still a bit of a wait I'm afraid - ours took quite a few months from start to finish. But still quicker than NHS I understand.
