Learning the "code" with a multi-sensory approach

Dd (11) has just been diagnosed with dyslexia and the post assessment feedback suggests that she needs to learn "the code" which I'm presuming the reading code that children first use. Apparently, we should be using a multi sensory method.

Unfortunately, we can't afford regular sessions and are looking for ideas or websites that people have used.
