Is Ellenjaneisnotmymane around? Need interpretation of raw SATs scores

Just been given raw SATs scores but don't know what the scores are out of or what Level they equate to.

Maths A 16
Maths B 17
Mental maths 7

Reading 20
Short writing 5
Long writing 15
Spelling 1

Can anyone tell me what this means?

Hmm, is this year 6? The thresholds for the different levels haven't been published (or decided) yet. Going on previous years I could give a rough estimate, but you would get some better info from the Primary Education board which has teachers on it. Roughly 50% on maths gives a level 4, so he has 40% which would be a level 3. You don't get sub levels given but I'd guess a 3b or so.

41% in total for literacy, I'm not sure, but again probably a level 3. Do ask on Primary Education. I'm really just guessing...

Got a bit more info. Each subject is out of 100. Maths A is out of 40, maths B out of 40 and mental maths out of 20.

The reading paper is out of 50 and the other three combined are out of 50.

Last year's thresholds were Maths, 17 - 44% was level 3, 45 - 76% was level 4.

Literacy 23 - 40% was level 3, 41 - 69% was level 4. But last year's thresholds were lower than normal, due to a harder set of papers. This year's may be higher.

Nick sorry - should have made it clear - these are mock scores which the school has given me - not this year's scores which I know you are desperate for. Good luck tomorrow - passion is good and it is powerful to be both passionate and reasonable.

Ah, if they are mock scores, do you know which year's papers they took? I might be able to find the thresholds for that year.
