Currently doing a chronology and i found the following on school file.

I wrote to SENCO after ds told me he was made to lick mash potato in school and he was crying and very distressed, but he was told if he didnt lick it, he would get a detention (after i had told school a few days before as part of his OT eating plan, the food to avoid would be mashed potato)

SENCO approached me in the playground and stated that this never happened.

On school file i have found an email from OT asking SENCO how his eating plan is going and SENCO has replied saying he has tried lots of sweet food ie cake, some bread, but that he does not like mashed potato!!!

Do you think OT and SENCO have had a previous conversation about my letter and SENCO is just being a smart arse and taking the piss out of my letter?

Or that ds was actually made to lick mashed potato?

Or am i going mad, why would she make a reference to mashed potato?

The tribunal isn't an opportunity to 'off load' it is an opportunity to win needed provision, so start by looking at the minimum and clearest evidence that will give you that win. What 3-4 points will be the essential ones? Then slot in some additional stuff to strengthen the case.

You don't wan tribunal time to be wasted by a long drawn out argument over a piece of evidence that may be able to be interpreted differently, that whilst good evidence doesn't actually support the main or most costly arguments.

This WILL happen if there is an opportunity. It appears to be the main LA strategy in tribunals that they might lose. Also, they are good and experienced at circular arguments and meetings without focus etc.

Thanks Star have scribbled that down, i cant do anymore today, i stayed up until about 2am this morning typing and ive been sorting and typing all day today, my eyes cant take much more.

But will set to work tomorrow, with all my scribbles, i was rushing as i thought i might get decision today, but it was typing error on the LA letter, it didnt go to panel.

Sorry, claw, just read my post. Didn't mean it to sound harsh or lecturing.

Just wanted to be clear.

starfish71 · 13/06/2012 19:52

Try and switch off from it tonight, know I am fine one talking but you need to rest.

Disappointing panel isn't till next week, but it does give you extra time to prepare IN CASE they not agree to assess...

Hope you get some sleep tonight.

Starlight no worries, it didnt sound harsh at all and even if it did i would never take offence to anything you say, i know you have the best intentions Smile

Starfish I actually feel shattered, bet i will sleep tonight! Ds and I will be going to bed to watch a dvd in about half an hour. Thanks.

"Agnes-star-wet-AE"

Yes [bows to tribunal chair] that's right, Mrs ASWAE will be acting as my barrister and parenting skills tutor as well as filling the role of DS's Ed Psch, OT, SLT, EIBI consultant, SENCO, ASD outreach teacher, alternative therapist and NHS child psychotherapist. Yes, we can see she wears many hats, and yes, Mrs ASWAE does juggle many balls.

No, we won't be calling any additional witnesses, thank you. Should additional input be recommended, we can 'skill-up' our composite clone as required. By grafting on bits of additional expert-parents

Lol Maria, i have met Agnes and AE, but not Star or Wet and i now have visions of this clone based on what i have seen, it has Agnes's head, AE's hair, a Scotish accent, its preggers and has lots of additional arms from parents........LA will shit themselves Grin
