Housing question

Local council are renovating our houses rewiring fitting new kitchens, bathrooms downstairs loos, replacing boiler and radiators. It will be a nightmare for everybody but a living hell for ds and dd. Noise, strangers, disruption etc.
They started friend's Thursday before bank holiday, she hasn't been able to use the kitchen since and still has no electricity in the kitchen and won't be until after the weekend.
They start at 8am and finish at 4pm so they would be out of the house for the majority of it but ds won't cope without me being able to do his food routines etc.
Could I ask them to do our house during our holidays in July and August when my older three would take it in turns to sit in the house during the day? I don't know what will happen otherwise as ds will go into meltdown and it will take months for him to get over it and dd won't cope well either.

It's worth asking. Our HA were extremely helpful when we were due to have some work done. They even offered to make sure we were the first to be told about proposed work and the last to have it done, just so that ds could be fully prepared for it.

Oh they might be helpful then I'll ask when they come to plan on Wednesday. I'll lay it on thick if I have to I suppose although I won't have to exaggerate just having the vans on the cul de sac is driving them mad.

Have they already given you a start date? If not, chances are that they haven't yet drawn up an exact schedule and you'll be able to put in your preference for dates.

Good luck. :)

No we'll get that Wednesday so I'll appeal to their better natures then.
