We disappeared for a while. Life got physically rather hectic and difficult in real life so I hid for a bit.
Anyway yesterday I think we finally got a diagnosis. We dont have an actual piece of paper yet and may not get one but I have got what I needed for now.
Someone - our NHS psychiatrist from CAMHS - visited DS (who is now 4 years old) at home and immediately said that he has ADHD and needs medication. He was climbing all over her, being rough with her, being rude to her, climbing the furniture, falling off things, flitting from thing to thing.
Anyway, whether or not we get a formal diagnosis yet, we got the recognition from someone senior and respected that my son has a serious condition which needs help and is not caused by us. Im over the moon.
Give me a week or so and i'll crack on with getting the piece of paper but for now Im Smug
- well actually im not smug, im just bloody relieved, shocked, happy. I still think he has ASD/PDA but I think he is so high functioning that that wont get noticed.
