Note in dd's home/school book "Wow, Wow, Wow dd came top of year 3 and 4 in SATs in both numeracy and literacy!"
School placed her in a specially selected all girls group back in September because they felt that she needed her confidence boosting rather than in the top group with a lot of competitive boys even though she was more than able to be top group
I was happy to support school in this (think they were surprised I didn't mind her not being top group tbh) because unless dd's confident she'll never be able to to perform at her best.Her literacy and numeracy teacher was so pleased she came to find her with a chocolate bar and a hug.
Pretty sure school will be glad they welcomed this statemented child and her "nightmare mother" (according to last HT)
Then DS came home with a sly grin and in his book was a note telling me he'd had a fantastic day, managed the bus twice and ate burgers in the restaurant and ordered his own coke and spent the whole time talking and giggling.
Just what I needed after the last few days tbh.
