Learning Differences Support Group in North London

I was thinking of setting up a support group for parents of children with dyslexia, dyspraxia etc. in North London. I thought we could have speakers and professionals come along or even just meet once a month to chat to others going through the same things. What do you think?

I am a lurker, who has learnt a lot from others' postings on dyslexia/dyspraxia etc! I would be very interested in this.

I would be too - I am in St Albans, but would come in for it. The Hertfordshire dyspraxia group doesn't seem to be operational anymore :-(

Great - well that is 3 of us! I will sort out a date for next term and we will get started. What times are good? I have premises in East Finchley opp the tube we can use.

Are evenings best or during the school day?

I have a younger dc too who only goes to nursery in the mornings so personally could only generally manage mornings or evenings... Having said that I am also a lone parent so evenings can be tricky too!

Sorry this has taken so long to organise.
Parent Forum on 25th September 7.30 at Limespring School N2 9PJ. Come along to chat to other parents and professionals. Two speakers one on visual issues and one on improving performance and behaviour through neuro-sensory brain training. All welcome

Hello.
I am of course aware that this comment comes a good 20months after the event, but my daughter was just recently diagnosed, and we are in Hampstead so any dyslexia parent group in North London would be a life-saver right now.

Are you still meeting up? Any feedback would be much appreciated.
