On september 7th ! It's at 2pm so dd will be shattered by time we've got train from devon and no doubt moody and irritable!! Then have to navigate train train home. oMG what have I let myself in for!!

Sorry forgot to ask how did your nhs peads take the news you had gone private?? Dd will be just 3 when we go. My aim is to pull her out the NHS until she's 5 and no longer under the CDC as its dire in our area which is basically what I want to tell pead after seeing Daphne Keen

I dont envy you the trip having just experienced it for a different assessment!

I suggest you take a portable dvd player with headphones on I found that invaluable and loads of colouring and small bits to keep interest.

I have not used DK but have read here that she is top NHS and not just private so her reports couldnt really be argued against seeing as they would be arguing against their own :)

She is a top paed at St George's Hospital which is one of the main teaching hospitals in London. It's a shame that it will be such a long day for you but it sounds like it is always worthwhile :)

Thanks guys the only good thing is dd is train obsessed so it will be a perk for her going on a train! May try ans get her a peek in drivers cabin ;)

Oh great thanks justa. I plan to get their couple hours early and go for coffee! Is her secretary always in private practise? Will need to get her to ring me a taxi back to station so I don't miss train! Also do appointments run to schedule pretty much?? So in time getting in and out? Cheers

You won't see her secretary there, it will be DK herself. The appointments run like clockwork, you will be seen pretty much on time and leave on time so you can book a taxi for yourself at the end of the appointment or you could take one of the black cabs. Plenty of them around.
