Hello everyone

I've been lurking here since beginning of the year but thought I'd come out and say hello.

I have a DS, 4 years, who was diagnosed with ASD back in March this year. He's off to school in Sept. We have an Action for Inclusion Meeting next week with his new school.

hi bluey, hope all goes well at your meeting Smile

Hello Bluey21. Good luck with the meeting. DS in his first year at school and it's been better than I thought.

Write down everything to want to say so you don't forget anything. The school did DS a transition book and he had pictures of his teachers and classroom that he was able to look at in the summer holidays. He had also visited the classroom and met the teacher.

Hi bluey and welcome to the sn children boardGrin

I have Dd3 who is in year 4 at school and has ASD.

Make sure you ask lots of questions about how they are going to help your Ds with his transition into school.

Good luckSmile

Hi Bluey

I have DS who is 6.11 and has ASD. We got our dx just 6 weeks ago.

That's great that the school are being prepared for him so that he can have a good transition in.

Hi bluey! :)

Hi Bluey,

I too am a bit of a lurker. My DS2 is 5.4 and has a dx of AS. He started reception last year and it's been a bit of rollercoaster but school have been great so far. Applied for a statement a couple of weeks ago...

Hope all goes well with the transition to school

Hi bluey. My DS2 with ASD is 12 now. (When did that happen?) but his transition to MS primary is still fresh in my mind. It went pretty well, actually, and we got a statement at the beginning of Y1.
