In recent weeks and know how long they roughly taking?? Not had letter back to confirm they got form yet. Hope they won't keep us waiting too long this time!

I left it a year, before we re-applied. We were successful but I can't remember how long it took.

I am doing ours again as ds will be 5 in Aug so we are now reapplying to see if he can get any mobility component. Hope to have the form sent off next week but have no idea how long it will take.

I think that it's 10 weeks after they've sent you a receipt letter stating that they've got your renewal form.

We have just re-newed our claim, or are trying to - its gone straight to appeal.
My advise is go to the CAB and they will help you fill the form in. I wish I had done this the first time around. I sent in all the information - there was a huge amount, plus contact details etc.
They disputed both mobilty [despite a mobilty disability], and care [despite needing care at night and catheters during the day etc].
The CAB told me [on advise from CAF], that this was usual right now as the forms are not assessed by medical staff until appeal.They wrote a letter and sent the appeal off, we are waiting to hear still - we applied in Feb., but I do know that they have at least contacted his clinicians at GOSH this time.
The CAB told me they help with these forms 3 to 4 times each week!

We renewed our claim in the new year to apply for mobility. We sent the form off between Christmas and New Year, and heard end of March. We were obviously one of the lucky ones - We got MRC and HRM till 2025 without a quibble!!!

Still can't believe it!

Galena, that's pretty much what happened with me, except they only gave MRC LRM. I disputed it and in April we were awarded it till 2016 HRC & M. Yes. I still can't believe it either!

DD is only 3, SallyBear so they couldn't have awarded LRM. I would have shouted very loud and long if they hadn't awarded it... :)

i sent DS form off 3 weeks ago,got letter last week to confirm they had got it and the letter said to ring them in 8 weeks if i havnt heard from them by then HTH
