Hi - Also posted this in Local forums, but may be better placed here.

I'm making an enquiry on behalf of my friend, who has a ds with ASD - he will be 4yo in July.

Do you know what services there are, for children with autism in the Birmingham/Edgbaston area?

Any information would be good - as at the moment she wouldn't know where to start, in finding out what's available (she has not lived in UK for many years and her son was not born in UK, although she herself was). She is thinking about moving back as her marriage recently broke up, but needs to find out as much as she can first.

Basically she isn't aware of 'the system' - what's out there, what needs to be done etc - any experiences and information would be good.

Thanks

I think Autism West Midlands would be useful to her. They are also based in Edgbaston and are very good www.autismwestmidlands.org.uk/
