Apparently we have to wait for YEARS for an autism diagnosis, who knew....

I like anything that tells people with no experience that it's not a case of going to the GP with a shy child and walking out with a 'label'.

All the children are over diagnosed brigade - they do need telling.

I agree, it was the use of the word "reveal" though. Like we didn't know .

I know I sound jaded but will anyone who isn't directly affected even bother to read because ime even family members close to ds can't be arsed to find out about it.

Ds is 9.

Doesn't matter. Those that believe it's all a sham will simply parrot that people wait years for a dx because it takes that long to finally either find a doctor that will go along with it or to wear down the doctor to agree.

The problem is that people are so skeptical that they just are not willing to listen to reason.

Exactly Triggles which is why I am just so jaded by the whole thing .
