Pocket video camera for DS evidence

I need a small video camera to take spontaneous footage of ASD DS. It is to build up evidence of DS's meltdowns, stimming as well as positive things that he does (as there are many!) for both the LEA and for his paediatrician who always seems to see him in the best light - he is always so excited about going to the hospital that he behaves impeccably!

I don't have an Iphone but was told there was something called a Flip which is meant to take good quality videos. I want something that is easy to use and easy and straight-forward to download as well. I would prefer something that produces video with sound as opposed to having convert everything to Mpeg files on the computer.

Ideally it would be discrete so that DS is not aware that I am filming him.

Thanks for any suggestions.

The Flip just plugs in as it has a USB built in. It is not huge but my DS would notice me holding it. It might be best to have it on a shelf so that he doesn't notice.

I found that when I recorded DS, he got worse as he got more cross with me! I guess in the circumstances it might be a good thing.......

I used my blackberry and then saved to disk on my comp. :)

Also when that broke I bought a cheaper unlocked one in Tesco for £50 just purely for vids and that worked fine. Its called a BlueChip :)
