Ear Protection

Right, this is somewhat embarrassing for me. Blush

I'm VERY sensitive to loud, sudden noises. Balloons bursting and fireworks all scare me silly and can sometimes make me cry. I've tried to sort this, it ain't happening. I'm off to the Cosford air show in June with my boyfriend and some friends. All good.

Til I found out there's a "Role Demo" by the Typhoon jets.

I Youtubed it. It's blowing stuff up :(

I don't want to a) make my friends leave at that bit or
b) cry

I need the best, most reasonably priced noise reduction ear protection you good ladies have used, or have knowledge of (I know lots of children with ASD have noise sensitivity problems - saw a little boy in ear defenders at V Festival a couple of years back).

I LOVE planes and REALLY want to go to this, plus it would mean not having to avoid shows with pyrotechnics and theatres etc etc.

Aha, thank you both :)

As it turns out, my boyfriend's step dad works in bridge engineering and on the railways, and has lots of very good quality ear defenders, so we're going to borrow some for the show (all of us, seeing as jet noise isn't particularly good for anyone's ears - and with my sight being bad, I'd like to preserve my hearing, as well as being able to enjoy the day without getting scared) :)
