Hi.
This is following on from other post - fed up and need to off load.
In short, it turns out that dd could well have been suffering from TIA's ( mini strokes). Her symptoms where pretty much overlooked due to inncorrect doubts about my mental health and validity of our concerns for our dd ( despite video evidence) based on completly inncorrect assumptions made by a GP who had met me ONCE. Also, and this is just one of the situations that happened - when our daughter had what was most likely ( but not yet established) one of the mini strokes - i phoned the local consultant who told me not too phone again. On another occassion her foot went blue and we were told it was just becasue she had a high fever. The list goes on.
DH and i decided the other day that we needed to know asap for the sake of our dd, who if TIA's are the case, then she is very high risk of a major stroke. She already suffer's from symptoms of dystonic posturing and perminant weakness down one side of her body and speech problems)
We have booked an MRI at the portland hospital for this week. They require some medical info for the anethatist ( sorry bad spelling). The consultants secretary is refusing to give it. Also, and i belive somewhat strangly, We recived a call from the leading london childrens hospital saying our appointment ( which was due later this year) has been brought forward to tomorrow. Both consultants ( local and regonal) are going to great lenghts to diswade us getting this MRI. It just doesnt make sense. Having the MRI this week is in the best interests of our child and for dh and i. Its what we want.
My question is - can they refuse to give the private hospital medical details that will mean my daughter has a safe anesetic? Thats all they require. Details of any relevant medical info that ensure's the anethatist has any important details. They dont need everything - just that.
Thankyou in advance and really hopeing someone can help!
