That's really good news.

As you've recently gone through the process, may I ask a question, please? DD's dla expires in October (I think) and I shall need to apply to extend it. Will the forms be sent out to me as a matter of routine or is it something I need to start chasing (suspect I know the answer to that already!).........but how soon? I know it is a mamaoth task just filling it all in but I can't remember how long it takes to process. Dreading it!

misdee · 13/02/2006 10:54

they send them out 6months in advance. if u havent got them by theend of april then call them.

reiver · 13/02/2006 10:55

Thanks misdee - useful to know. Something to look forward to!

i did it early as we are changing cars in june. It only took about 8weeks to process.
Its good though as i am now only 2 months short now.
In case it helps when I spoke to motability they said they now underwrite shortfalls.

That's great buzylizy, one thing less to worry about.

Just lately when a dla thread comes up, I get this awful sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach, I got my renewal forms a good several months ago now but I'm still only up to question 4

buzylizy · 13/02/2006 13:03

I know what you mean I HATE them the questions are so stupid. Can she walk? answer no. how often does she need help. I am then screaming at the peice of paper" I HAVE JUST SAID SHE CAN'T WALK"
