Morning everyone

Am feeling really really sorry for my selfish self this morning am tearful and weepy and have just had enough. I know there are so many others in worse positions but just seem to have fallen into a bit of a black hole over the last couple of weeks.
I gave up my management job to look after DD and my baby last year and now I am so fed up with doing the same crap day in day out. Up at 6 cooking cleaning washing ironing and dealing with the awful meltdowns the growling and the ingratitude of everyone in the house. I spend hours making healthy meals just so they can say yuck I'm not eating that.
I feel resentful that this life means that I have to take antidepressants just to function and get through the day.
I can't even face getting dressed today. I asked DH to get DD ready for school big mistake as she is like an animal when he tries to do anything with her screaming shouting growling. I just want to up and leave Sad

Sorry everyone please form an orderly queue to kick me up the arse.

Everything that's been said. Plus, if there's any way at all to hire a cleaner, do it. The psychological benefits of knowing that someone else is helping out practically and regularly, who really doesn't mind and really won't need the favour back might be almost as beneficial as the anti-depressants.

It is really hard and you aren't a typical sahm. You're a full time carer of a child with a very hard to manage set of impairments. and you have to juggle sahm role on top.

Hi holy. I gave up work a year ago as dd2 wasn't coping with childcare. She's now 2.7 and due to start preschool in Sept. I get bored especially as I don't drive. It's hard isn't it :( I'm looking for some sort of evening work but work is scarce where we live. Feel like I'm going mad some days!!
Luckily I can't Hoover everyday as dd hates the noise and kicks off! So I have a good excuse ;)

HolyCalamityJane · 02/05/2012 20:37

Thanks Maria and Chundle. Picked myself off and dusted myself down today even though we had the mother of all melt downs due to a wobbly toothSad. DH was going to take me out for dinner tonight but I just couldn't face it plumped for a Kentucky insteadGrin

Well, I'm obviously feeling remarkably undomestic-goddessly compared to you lot. Dinner? That's what frozen pizza is for.... Bleach? Good grief, you actually clean your toilet! Confused Grin

HolyCalamityJane · 02/05/2012 20:48

I am falling off the goddess wagon it's not worth it if you end up a frazzled nervous wreck. It's baked potatoes here on in every night of the week!!Grin

Ben10NeverAgain · 02/05/2012 20:55

You wash potatoes Shock

I have just had my very first frozen jacket potato. Bought for DH's work lunches but seeing as he has got lost in the pub, he gets the cold frozen pizza that was ready at 6.30pm when he rolls in and I get JP.

I wouldn't buy them again I have to say! My arms lose blood flow when I try to stir or cook so pre-prepped stuff has become necessary for me. Frozen Jackets are a step too far Grin

HolyCalamityJane · 02/05/2012 20:56

What about McCain's Smiles! A potato treat that is always happy to see you Grin

Ben10NeverAgain · 02/05/2012 20:59

Oh I do love a Smilie. Haven't had them for ages. They used to be all he would eat every night for years.

However a McCain's Rustic Oven Chip is a very welcome sight :)

Ben10NeverAgain · 02/05/2012 21:01
