Dd goes on her residential on Wednesday and my anxiety is sky high.I am not good at having them away from me especially ds and dd. Bah it's only in the last couple of years that I don't cry when the older three go away

The school desperately want it to work and I have to trust them but just the thought of her being away and with people who can't read her like I can makes me feel sick with nerves.

Have her AR tomorrow so will take the opportunity to impress upon them that they need to phone me if there are any problems, we can be there in twenty minutes.

Want to cry now never mind when I drop her at school on Wednesday.

She needs to learn how to cope being with people who can't read her as well as you!

She'll be fine and if not you can end it at any point surely?

Yes I can go to her when needed. I am so over protective I know, her school is great, they secured extra funding for more support and they are determined that she will have a good time. BUT it's that letting go of the reins and trusting somebody else to do a good enough job that I find so difficult. Her teacher is going to visit her after school as she's not going on the trip so that she can phone and give me the full rundown (she knows what I'm like Grin) I'll be more reassured by her than the HT who is leading tbh.
Dd is so excited and I won't let her see I'm anxious but I really want it to be over already.

Repeat after me, "It will be fine, it will be fine, it will be fine!"

Keep repeating until you believe it. By then she'll be back home. Wink

It sounds like the school are being fantastically supportive. Enjoy her enjoying it :)

She'll be fine, hope she enjoys herself.

Good luck, don't waste the time you will have to yourself worrying unnecessarily.

So much easier to say than do Smile
