Summer holidays

Hi, just wondering if any of you have managed to get any provision over the holidays? And if so who did you speak to to get it?

DD will really struggle without normal routine and going back will be hard going I think if the easter was anything to go by. Also the thought of no SALT input during that time is pretty awful as her speech was noticably clearer after a few days back at school-they do lots of work on it. I can do stuff at home with her but she is not very compliant about it with me (understatement!) and am also having a baby in June so will be more distracted than usual.

We always get Speech therapy over the summer, but it's about three sessions over the 6 weeks. I spoke to the SALT about it, and she either came out to the house or we went to the hospital.

Thanks, I will ask the SNECO at school to ask the SALT. DD (severe language disorder and other stuff)only sees her onceevery six weeks and then a SALT technical assistant once a week as it is but the TA at school carries out the programme the SALT oversees. And the SALT tried to say she would need less next term Angry so am pretty sure it will take a bit of pushing for and will get on with it this week just in case. Also hoping she can get funding to have a one to one worker so hat she can go to a holiday club a few times maybe.

No, we haven't ever had anything. Probably because I didn't think to ask tbh.

I only thought of it because the SENCO mentioned it at the last meeting or said she wondered if we could. DD is till in the foundation stage so actually SALT provision is through NHS so hopefully that gives us a bit more chance but I am not sure.
