Hello!
today we had our first appointment for ds2's assessment at the specialist autism centre. Today it was just a chat with me really and we I have been given 3 more appointments as part of the assessment.

In the next appoinment she wants to do a non verbal intelligence test with ds2. Has anyone else's child has had to do this? especially as young as my son and with supected autism? I just cannot see how he will be able to do it and how the results will actually give an indication of his IQ. I mean, he isnt non-verbal, but limited speech and especially his receptive speech is quite delayed. and what's the point of it anyway?

would be interesting to hear from others. :)
