I have never applied for dla as when i mentioned it in passing to ed psych last yr i was told he doesnt need it however parent partnership said she thought i should apply.just realy wondering what anyones thoughts are on this as i dont know if i should try and how the process works? ds is has just turned 5

I would read the cerebra guide to DLA and see if you feel that any of the questions asked are relevant to your dc. Smile

I second the cerebra guide. iirc, there are also some test questions in the guide which give you indication if you might qualify. but i would think that a dx of SLI and developmental delay means that your DS does need a lot of more help and support than a typical child.
